Here’s an interview with The Wire Magazine.
Soap Bubbles
https://vimeo.com/749541947A laser shines through soap bubbles and 2 diodes listen to the lightwaves that are bend through the ever changing surfaces. Bursting bubbles make dynamic pops and photons diffracted through microscopic movements of liquid soap make glissandi.
How the sound is picked up:
An LED (light-emitting diode) emits light when an electrical current passes through. Here this process is reversed with a light-sensitive diode that absorbs photons and produces current. When light shines onto the diode, the current passes through and we hear the amplified current.

The Mirror Egg
https://vimeo.com/580450687A miniature sitcom modified 16mm projector and live electronics.
The middle part is a dream sequence on an uncut 30 meter roll of film that was scripted like a computer program: A 4-bit binary code and a long heximal code,
written on paper, were used for positioning,
layering and repeating what was filmed.
The oscilloscopes in the end were programmed on an Hitachi 240 Analog Computer.
Color Study
https://vimeo.com/393918966#t=1m50sa film about color contrasts inspired by Johannes Itten’s color wheels and a pulsating soundtrack timed by a nonlinear clock
